W. B. Selected Writings

›W. B. Selected Writings‹ is part of my series ›Copy and Erasure.‹ The work is based on volumes of Walter Benjamin’s ›Gesammelte Schriften‹* found in a secondhand bookstore. A previous reader had underlined selected passages in the books. I copied the texts by hand and deleted all previously unmarked passages of each volume. The remaining text consists exclusively of the previously underlined passages.
